Studio updates & works in progress
A self-portrait attempting Fauvism, and a pencil portrait from July. Next I’m starting a small study for a larger painting planned for later this year: a Birdsville scene with HolyGreenCow, Buddha and Jesus. I’m also heading to Rockhampton to visit the gallery that recently showed my work.
Nothing grand to announce. Just the next few things.
Sixteen years of HolyGreenCow. I rebuilt the site to hold the work in one place: photography, music, ceramics, writing and the novel in progress. It is an almanac more than a portfolio — still growing and still a little strange.

Drafting the first manuscript of HolyGreenCow Chronicles: Buddha and Jesus leave humanity behind in a Birdsville pub, and HolyGreenCow is sent in as the bewildered replacement witness. It grew from a 2016 sketch and several much older songs.

Work shown at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery as part of Cats. Because the archive was clearly suffering from a shortage of cats.
