Cataclysm
Cataclysm – an uneasy love letter to the Australian landscape and the way it presses in on the edges of suburbia. This series explores stereotypes about Australian masculinity, referencing cultural touchstones like Don's Party and TISM.
Bathed in artificial Kodachrome tones, these images examine the tension between our relationship to the land and the performative rituals of suburban masculinity – backyard cricket, barbecues, and beer – where apocalyptic scenarios unfold with quiet absurdity.
